Naglič, Andrej
Asst. prof. Andrej Naglic is a university teacher of
constitutional, international and business law, a lawyer with 14 years' experience and priest of the
Archdiocese of Ljubljana.
He graduated from the
Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, where he obtained a master's degree (M.Sc.) in international law. His Ph.D. thesis in the field of human rights and fundamental freedoms was completed at the
Faculty of Theology, University of Ljubljana. He is also active in projects with
Acton Institute, Grand Rapids, USA.
His work experience includes practice in the legal department of the
United Nations’ headquarter in New York, the practice in the Department of International Law of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, the management of legal and human resources departments in the enterprise
Lipbled in Bled, cooperation with the
Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Slovenia, the employment relations in the office of
Triglav Insurance Company in Ljubljana, membership of the management board of
Triglav Kopaonik Insurance Company and
Triglav Retirement Funds in Belgrade, legal advice to
Slovenian Bishops' Conference and the leadership of the
Institute Karantania in Ljubljana. He gained pastoral experience in parishes
Šentvid – Ljubljana and
Kranj.
In the summer of 2015 he was appointed director of the
Catholic Institute and chairman of the board of the
Faculty of Law and Business Studies in Ljubljana.
