Karmen Marguč Ph.D. is a Doctor of Science and works in the interdisciplinary field of economics, ethics and sustainability. Within the framework of 10 years’ experience in marketing, strategic consulting and business management, she incorporates academic knowledge into practice with the transfer of knowledge and technology between faculties and business.
She graduated from the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor, where she obtained the title university professor of philosophy and geography. At the Central European University in Budapest, she attained a master's degree in philosophy. She completed her doctorate in science at the Faculty of Commercial and Business Sciences in Celje, in the field of the social discount rate determination considering sustainability. Currently she is finishing a PhD of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor in the field of ethics integration into digital marketing that is based on artificial intelligence.
Her work experience includes an entrepreneurial career as an entrepreneur with purchasing, optimizing, and selling different types of companies, the work of the general manager in the marketing agency Creatoor, Ltd. and the position of marketing manager at Echo, Ltd, where she took care of the design and global market penetration of a new brand EchoInstruments. In the same company, she was employed as a project manager with responsibility for organization and information flow between different departments.
