Teaching assistant Iztok Malačič, M.Sc., is a manager with 20 years of experience in general management, sales, finance, and corporate governance in international companies. He is specialized in company restructuring, marketing, business process optimization, corporate finance, and controlling. Since 2001 he holds a Master’s Degree in Organization and Management, and has previously earned his B.Sc. degree in Banking and Finance, both from University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics.

During the last years he was a member of the Management Board and CRO responsible for corporate governance in international sports company Alpina, where he previously held a position of a CFO. He was the CFO of a bio technological high tech company BIA Separations, Director of Sales and Marketing in the fashion footwear company Peko, CFO for Slovenia and Croatia in the world's largest public transportation company Veolia Transport, President/Member of the Board of the passenger airline Adria Airways and Member of the Management Board of Slovenian national radio and television broadcasting institution RTV Slovenija, where he was the Head of Marketing, Sales and Public Relations Department. He was an Executive Committee member of the Brussels based European association of TV and radio sales houses EGTA and has worked with the German business consulting firm Roland Berger & Partner. He is also the owner and consultant in a family owned consultancy, specialised in corporate restructuring projects, project management, quality systems ISO 9001 implementation and business process optimisation. In addition, he is a master of Shotokan karate and Executive Committee member of Slovenian Traditional Karate Association.

In August 2019, he was elected as a Teaching assistant in Management and Marketing. Since 2021, he has been enrolled in the PhD program at the UCV University of Valencia (Spain) and is working on his PhD thesis on 'Challenges for the development of social sciences in the 21st century' under the mentorship of prof. Zoran Vaupot.
